Around the towns for the week …
• Pat Guadagno is playing at Jamian's in Red Bank tonight.
• Novelist Lynn Clay Byrne is at River Road Books on Tuesday night.
• Read to a therapy dog at Monmouth County Library in Shrewsbury starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday night. Call to register at 732-842-5995.
• The Red Bank Board of Education is hosting a community forum concerning the superintendent search on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Red Bank Middle School. More on that tomorrow.
• The Red Bank Shade Tree Commission meets on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal complex on Monmouth Street.
Weather, tides, sun and moon tidbits …
• There's a chance of snow and/or rain Monday night and into Tuesday. Other than that, the weather is expected to be clear with temperatures ranging from a more chilly 40s to 50s, according to the National Weather Service.
• We'll be bringing you your daily dose of sun, moon and tide information, courtesy of www.tides4fishing.com. Here's today's:
"The sun will rise in Sea Bright at 6:39 am and sunset will be at 4:42 pm. The moon set at 12:19 am at 262º west. Eventually, the moon will rise again in the east (95º) at 1:22 pm.
"In the high tide and low tide chart, we can see that the first high tide will be at 3:14 am and the next high tide at 3:34 pm. The first low tide will be at 9:35 am and the next low tide at 10:05 pm.
"The lunar phase is a First Quarter Moon. Today we will have 10 hours and 3 minutes of sun. The solar transit will be at 11:40 am and the length of time the moon will be visible will be 10 hours and 57 minutes."
