“I am truly blessed to have known Tigger as I did and feel privileged to be honored at the 10-year gala of the Tigger Stavola Foundation,” said Ansell. “Its mission is more important than ever, and I am impressed by their ability to educate thousands of local students, all while providing unwavering support to those in the community.”

The Stavolas said it was fitting to honor Ansell at the milestone event.

"He has shown commitment to the Tigger Stavola Foundation from its inception. He fights tirelessly to defend parents and children affected by substance use disorder, and the legal woes that often accompany it," they said.

"The Stavola family is in deep gratitude for his responsiveness, exceptional level of service and above all, his compassion for Tigger," they said.

They added that his work in the community aligns with the Tigger Stavola Foundation’s mission to fight addiction, spread awareness, and save lives through drug use prevention and education.

For example, during prom season for the past 15 years, Ansell has been a guest speaker at local high schools and middle schools educating students about underage drinking, DWI and possession of controlled dangerous substances, they said.

"We are very fortunate to have Mitch devoting his talents to our shared cause," they said.

For the anniversary event, guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, dinner and entertainment, featuring a "Phantom" performance by Craig Schulman. The black-tie optional event will also include a silent auction.

A remembrance ceremony is planned, and all proceeds will fund the Tigger Stavola Foundation’s drug education programming for local youth, the Stavolas say.
