Larrivieri's arrest stems from an investigation into a resident's report that a man tried to steal a package last Thursday from the front porch of his Henry Street home, Ackermann said.
The resident provided police with a physical description of the thief, as well as the license plate number of the vehicle he fled the area in, which allowed for Officer Jim Donnelly to track down the suspect, Larrivieri, Ackermann said.
