Ambulance Involved in Accident Thursday Morning

No injuries were reported; landscaper issued summonses for improper parking, police say.

A landscaper has been issued two summonses for improperly parking after it was side-swiped by a Midland Park ambulance Thursday morning, according to Ridgewood police.

The accident occurred in front of 301 Oak St. (near the intersection of E. Glen Ave.) just past 10:30 a.m. said Lt. David McDermott. The ambulance was not carrying any passengers when it side-swiped the trailer and damage is considered minor, McDermott added. There were no injuries reported.

It's the third accident involving an ambulance in the village in recent months. A Village of Ridgewood ambulance at Oak St. and E. Ridgewood Ave. in April. Then, early in May, another village ambulance earlier this month.
