Burglaries, Theft Plague Ridgewood Residents: Police Blotter
An ATV was stolen in one instance and a home was ransacked in another, police said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A few village homes were burglarized and an all-terrain vehicle was stolen from someone's yard recently, police reported.
Someone discovered Friday that a Maxwell Place home was burglarized within the past week, police said. A family member of the resident reported that the interior of the home was ransacked.
A Spring Avenue home was burglarized either on Dec. 12 or 13, police said. The homeowner reported that someone forced their way into the home through a broken window.

Village police officers and Bergen County Sheriff's officers conducted investigations at both homes.
A resident reported Friday that an ATV worth $3,000 was stolen from their Doremus Avenue home either on Dec. 8 or 9, police said.

Police are asking residents to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Home and vehicle doors should always be locked, police said. Anyone with information about these or any suspicious incidents is asked to call the Ridgewood Police Department at 201-251-4536.
