Cable Worker Trapped Mid-Air In Bucket Lift In Glen Rock: Police

A cable worker became stuck in an elevated lift for about 45 minutes when the bucket truck broke down near Hanover Place in Glen Rock.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A cable crew worker who was installing a fiber optic cable Tuesday near Hanover Place in Glen Rock became suspended midair in a bucket lift for around 45 minutes after the truck broke down, Police Sgt. Michael Trover said.

The overriding controls to get the bucket down were not working either, and the authorities had to be called, Trover said.

Fire crews then assisted in lowering the worker, who was with Altice USA. No injuries were reported, police said.
