Community Volunteer Anne M. Christopher Dies at 83
Christopher was a parishioner at Mount Carmel, a member of Project Pride, a baker for the Ridgewood Fire Department and a mentor for her grandchildren in gardening, sewing and more.

Prolific community volunteer and baker for the Ridgewood Fire Department, Anne M. Christopher, 83 of Ridgewood, passed away with family by her side on May 20, 2012.
Christopher was wife of the late Robert J. Christopher, who passed away in 2006. She was also the loving mother of Bob and Gloria Christopher of Upper Saddle River; Linda and James Cosgrove in Ridgewood; Dave and Susan Christopher of Wyckoff; Kathleen and husband Chuck Post of Nevada. She is survived by brother Robert Clayson of Pennsylvania, Andrew Clayson of Ohio and the late Winifred Reams and John Clayson.
She leaves behind more than 15 grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Anne Christopher was an active member of the Ridgewood community. She was a parishioner of , a member of Project Pride in Ridgewood, and was known as a great banana cake and blueberry crumb cake baker for the .
An avid gardener, Christopher was also a fabulous mentor to her grandchildren in the fields of sewing, gardening, and pie baking. She was a cashier at the A&P in Ridgewood and Park Ridge for 27 years.

The funeral mass will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, with interment to follow in Valleau Cemetery, both in Ridgewood.
Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at , 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ridgewood Fire Department Scholarship Fund, 120 East Glen Avenue, Ridgewood NJ 07450, would be appreciated.
