Contentious Cell Tower Ap Delayed 'Til June

on the Ridgewood/Ho-Ho-Kus border has been delayed until June, according to an e-mail sent by Zoning Board Secretary Tony Merlino. 

Residents in the Mulberry Pl./Barnett St. neighborhood since first introduced about a year ago. They've expressed concern that the tower would negatively impact property values and could also pose health and safety risks.

It'll be a tough fight for residents – – given that federal rulings favor carriers that can show some discernable gap in coverage areas.

Merlino, in his e-mail to Barnett St. resident and attorney Eric Gross, said the meeting is tentatively scheduled for June 26. Given the multitude of delays, there remains a likelihood it might drag on past the summer.
