Cops: Man Took Prescription Pills From Ridgewood Home While Assisting Handyman
The man, who was initially arrested for having an active warrant, was also found to be in possession of pills that weren't prescribed to him

Police say a man who allegedly stole prescription pills from a Ridgewood home while assisting a handyman was arrested in Wyckoff earlier this month while walking on a highway.
Wyckoff Police responded to Route 208 on March 13 on the report of a pedestrian walking on the shoulder of the highway and identified the man was Kyle E. Wenzel, 27, of Haskell, who was arrested after “a computer check revealed that there was an active warrant for his arrest from Piscataway,” Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.
Wenzel was then found to be in possession of seven Alprazolam pills and a prescription bottle with 20 Oxycodone pills that were not under his name, Chief Fox said. Police determined that Wenzel had stolen the pill bottle from a Ridgewood bathroom while assisting a handyman in the home earlier in the day.
