Driver Crashes Into Ridgewood Train Station: Police

The driver experienced an apparent 'medical issue,' police said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A man crashed a Honda Accord into the Ridgewood Train Station after experiencing a medical issue Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The car crashed into an unused, unoccupied taxi stand at the train station just after 3 p.m., said Chief Jacqueline Luthcke. The 80-year-old driver had an apparent "medical issue" before the crash, she said.

No one was injured Luthcke said. The driver was not taken to a hospital.

Village firefighters and police officers responded to and helped secure the crash scene. Authorities are still trying to determine the extent of the damage to the building, the chief said.
