Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney and Paramus Mayor James J Tedesco III announce that the Bergen County Police Department Traffic Safety Unit in cooperation with the Paramus Police Department Traffic Bureau will be hosting a voluntary commercial vehicle safety check. This is an educational and community service related event. There will be no enforcement action, but local business owners will have the opportunity to ensure their vehicles are in compliance with the State laws that govern commercially registered vehicles and trucks. Specially trained traffic safety officers will be available to answer any questions vehicle owners may have. Owners and drivers can bring their vehicles in without fear of receiving summonses and they will be educated as to what repairs or changes need to be made.
