Senior Citizen Services Event at Community Center

The Human Resources Coordinating Council (HRCC) of Ridgewood is organizing a free event for senior citizens, their families and service providers next Thursday, May 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ridgewood Community Center in the Village Hall (next to the Library on North Maple Avenue).

The event includes resource tables with materials and information from many area community resource organizations; senior service representatives will be available to answer questions and briefly speak about their programs; there will be a light buffet lunch, coffee and cookies; some prizes and gift certificates; free blood pressure screening by Valley Hospital; speakers presentations by West Bergen Mental Health Care Center, a Senior Care Assistant, a Grief & Loss Specialist, and Much MORE.

Seniors in need of transportation to the event are encouraged to call and make a reservation with the Ridgewood Senior Bus by calling 201-670-5500 x200.

The HRCC is comprised of local representatives from the schools, social service, religious and other community organizations, health and mental health organizations, the chamber of commerce, the library, several professionals in private practice, and village parks and recreation representative, and interested community members.
