Glen Rock LGBTQ Rights Advocate Named A Hometown Hero

Holly Goshin is president of the Glen Rock Pride Committee and helped get a Pride Flag raised in town.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Holly Goshin wants to send the message that LGBTQ residents are valued and welcome in Bergen County.

Goshin was given a Hometown Hero Award Monday by Rep. Josh Gottheimer. The awards were presented to community leaders, first-responders, veterans, and others dedicated to improving the lives of their neighbors.

Goshin has been on the front lines of the fight for LGBTQ equality in Bergen County, Gottheimer said.

Goshin is president of the Glen Rock Pride Committee and was instrumental in getting a Pride flag raised in Glen Rock in June for Pride Month.

"Holly’s leadership as president of the Glen Rock Pride Committee in raising that rainbow flag allowed members of our community to feel welcome — to feel home," Gottheimer said.
