2 Men Wanted For Assault, Robbery In Glen Rock: Police

Police are searching for two suspects in an assault and robbery that occurred yesterday at a Glen Rock warehouse.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Glen Rock police are searching for two men suspected of assaulting and robbing a 66-year-old Bergenfield man of his wallet on Thursday in the parking lot of a De Boer Drive warehouse, where he works, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said in a news release.

The man, who had "a large amount of cash," had just purchased lottery tickets at a nearby Maple Avenue convenience store when he was assaulted, police said. The man accused of the assault then got into a black Ford Escape with no front license plate with another man and they drove away.

Both suspects were described as Hispanic men in their 20s. The Bergenfield man was left lying in the parking lot, when his coworkers heard his calls for help, found him and called 911. He was then taken to a Ridgewood hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
