Great Glen Rock Campout Coming in June
Annual Jaycees Family Fun Night with BBQ, games, movies and camping will be held Friday, June 1
What's better than spending a day with BBQ, great friends and family and movies under the summer sky?
Certainly not much. The non-profit Glen Rock Jaycees are readying for the annual Family Fun Night on Friday, June 1 at Field. For $35 a family can stay from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday and take part in the annual tradition, one focused on community and family values.
“The Jaycees Family Fun Night is a great way for parents to spend quality time with their kids,” said Craig Giummarra, the event organizer. “The event also offers a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other and it’s right on our doorsteps!”

So what's in store this year? Grillmasters will cook up the meats as the kids play sports on the field and there will be breaks for free ices sponsored by . A giant screen showing a family-friendly movie will also be played under the stars with popcorn and cotton candy for snacks.
The real draw, as 'Rockers know, is the camp-out.

“Family camping is a great way to help build and strengthen the relationship between parents and kids,” the organization said in a press release. “Memories and shared experiences from all the fun trips and events help build understanding between a child and parent and can last throughout their lives. Camping experiences create quality time for everyone involved.”
Breakfast (bagels, coffee, doughnuts) will be available in the morning.
Tickets are available at the and costing $35 per family. Remember, although recommended, camping is optional.
