RIVER EDGE, NJ – An 18-year-old Hackensack man faces charges after police say he robbed a diner in Bergen County.

According to police, Denys Ludizaca robbed the River Edge Diner on Saturday, making off with an unspecified amount of money and leaving one diner employee injured. Additional details on the robbery were not immediately available from police Tuesday afternoon.

Further investigation led to Ludizaca and an arrest warrant from River Edge police was issued, authorities said.

When Hackensack officers spotted Ludizaca – whom police said has been arrested multiple times and was known to authorities - and ordered him to stop, he fled, police said. He was found hiding underneath a car in a parking lot on Union Street and arrested, police said.

After being charged by Hackensack police with resisting arrest, Ludizaca was turned over to River Edge police for their robbery charges.
