How Many Snow Days Do Ridgewood Schools Have Left?

What happens when all the snow days are used? Find out here.

As a winter storm forced Ridgewood Schools to close Monday and have a delayed opening Tuesday, it’s time to ask: how many snow days does your school district have? And what happens if all of the snow days are used?

According to Ridgewood Superintendent of Schools Daniel Fishbein, the school district has two snow days built into the school calendar and have already used them.

So what happens next?

Since the Ridgewood School District has already used their designated snow days, if extra days are needed they will be taken from Spring Break recess, which is scheduled to run from March 30 - April 3.

And if Ridgewood schools did in fact have an extra snow day they didn’t use, it would be piled onto the Memorial Day Weekend break - allowing students and teachers to have an extra day off.

But unfortunately, Fishbein chuckled, “We don’t have that problem.”
