Man Caught Robbing Ridgewood Bar Early Sunday Morning: Police
The man was caught taking bottles of liquor from a storage room and had money from the cash register in his pockets, police said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A man was arrested after he was caught stealing liquor and money from MacMurphy's early Sunday morning, police said.
Police responded to the Godwin Avenue bar at about 2:16 a.m., after an employee found Brian Arevalo, 23, of Wayne in the basement, said Sgt. Michael Lembo.
Arevalo had a knife in his hand and was taking liquor bottles from a storage room, Lembo said. Arevalo had money from the cash register in his pockets, he said.

Arevalo was charged with robbery, theft, and unlawful possession of a weapon and was taken to the Bergen County Jail.
Chief Jacqueline Luthcke thanked the Bergen County Sheriff's Department for its assistance and MacMurphy's employees for their "swift actions so this could be safely resolved."
