Man Had 26,000 Explicit Photos Of Minors, Bergen County Prosecutors Say
A man was charged Tuesday with possession of 26,000 child sex abuse photos, Bergen County prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Palisades Park man was arrested Tuesday for possessing and distributing as many as 26,000 sexually explicit images of children, prosecutors said.
Julio A. Fernandez, 39, of Palisade Park was charged with second-degree distribution of child pornography and second-degree possession of child pornography, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors said that on Tuesday, the county's Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Fernandez's home during an Internet child sexual abuse material investigation.

The investigation determined that Fernandez used the Internet to "view, download, and possess more than 26,000 items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children," prosecutors said.
Fernandez was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
