Newly-Created Glen Rock Education Foundation Receives Cash Infusion

District thinks education foundation could bring in a significant, new revenue stream into the budget.

A newly-established education foundation has received some startup capital, Glen Rock Superintendent Paula Valenti announced last Thursday.

According to Valenti, the Glen Rock Education Foundation received a $10,000 grand from the Educational Leadership Foundation of New Jersey, half of which will pay for administrative and marketing efforts. The remaining $5,000 will emerge next year.

Prior to its creation last year, Glen Rock was among the few districts in New Jersey without an education foundation.
