Party With the Party Dolls at the SSA's Spring Fundraiser

Charity party featuring internationally-known "Fantastic Party Dolls Show and Band" is set for June 8 at The Woman's Club of Ridgewood.

Ridgewood-based charity will be hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year in June and it's hoping you want to party with some fantastic dolls.

Scheduled for Friday, June 8 from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the , the “Party with the Party Dolls” spring fundraiser features who else but the Fantastic Party Dolls Show and Dance Band, a nationally acclaimed dance band led by a trio of ladies.

The girls are known for mini-skirts, go-go boots and move through the top hits of the past few decades, hitting motown, disco and rocking 80s classics. Like Aretha? The Supremes? A little Madonna or Pat Benetar? This might be your scene.

Though the band finds roots in New Jersey, it has performed internationally and even at a presidential inauguration celebration.

“Whether someone wants to ‘Boogie Oogie Oogie,” or go ‘Dancin in the Streets,’ we think the Party Dolls event will be fun for everyone,” said Kathy O’Shea, President of SSA in a news release.  “By June, people are looking to wind down from the school year and kick-off the start of summer. This is the perfect night for it.”

The money raised is sent to families in need throughout Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Midland Park, Waldwick and Wyckoff. It comes in the form of a case management help as well as a food pantry, clothing and shoe vouchers, housing and utility assistance and holiday drives.

The casual fundraiser, the SSA's largest this year, includes appetizers, beverages and a silent auction later in the evening.

Tickets are $85 per person and checks should be mailed to SSA, 6 Station Plaza, Ridgewood, NJ by Friday, May 28th. Should a copy of the invitation be preferred over e-mail, contact ssa6@verizon.net. Tickets will not be mailed; a guest list will be kept at the door.
