RHS Bridge Repairs Delayed by Rain

Work to repair the closed RHS footbridge has been delayed due to recent inclement weather, according to Superintendent Daniel Fishbein.

The bridge temporarily re-opened on Saturday to from the 15th annual Ridgewood Lax Day.

The district said last week there's a good chance a crane on-site will be needed to lift the bridge off its base for repairs to be made. The bridge was found in an engineering report over three years ago that erosion problems are present. It has been .

Of the timeline to re-open the bridge to pedestrian and light vehicular traffic, Fishbein said: "Hopefully it will only take a couple weeks and be up in service."
