Rideshare Driver Caught With Heroin: Police
A rideshare driver was arrested last Thursday on a charge of heroin distribution, the prosecutor's office said.
RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ — A rideshare driver was arrested last Thursday in Ridgefield Park by Narcotics Task Force detectives, who suspected he was transporting bulk quantities of narcotics through the area, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said in a news release.
Marvin Taveras-Taveras, 31, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was charged with second-degree possession with the intent to distribute heroin, after a search of his vehicle revealed approximately 93 "bricks" or 4,650 bags of suspected heroin, the prosecutor's office said.
He was taken to Bergen County Jail to await his first court appearance, the prosecutor's office said.
