Ridgewood Schools to Have Delayed Opening Tuesday

Ridgewood Public Schools will follow a delayed opening schedule on Tuesday due to “icy road conditions expected tomorrow morning.”

Schools will begin two hours later than usual, as will buses, according to the Ridgewood Police Department. Morning Kindergarten will be canceled, while afternoon Kindergarten will follow regular hours.

The Ridgewood Police Department’s announcement also says children in grades 1-5 who have not ordered lunches must bring a bag lunch to school since there will not be sufficient time for children to go home for lunch.

The delayed opening comes after all Ridgewood schools were closed Monday as Winter Storm Linus dropped a total of 6.9 inches of snow in the Village.
