Ridgewood YMCA Honors Volunteers
Eight volunteers of the year received awards at March 1 ceremony.

The Ridgewood YMCA presented this year’s Volunteer Awards at its annual Volunteer Recognition Reception, held March 1st at the Ridgewood Y. The awards recognize the many volunteers who devote their time and energy at the Y, as well as throughout the community

Rick Claydon, Ridgewood YMCA CEO, said “We’re so pleased to honor the many volunteers who do so much for the community and the Ridgewood YMCA. Volunteers are really the heart of the Y and we’d like to thank our volunteers for all their hard work and congratulate this year’s award recipients”.
The theme of this year’s event was “Volunteer are our Shining Stars” and the Ridgewood Y was transformed into an Academy Awards theater for the evening, complete with Oscar statuettes and a red carpet.

Summer Camp Volunteer Award - Ashley Ann Policastro
Health & Fitness Volunteer Award - Henry Trumbower
Laurence G. Meads Memorial Award - Marion Strauch
Jacob Van Dyke Memorial Award - Spencer Anderson and Mike Tillman
Chet Van Doren Service Award - Alyssa Laxer
William E. Remington Good Citizenship Award - Christina Benson and Michelle Rodriguez
