Ridgewood's Christ Episcopal Church Announces Holy Week Schedule

Christ Episcopal Church in Ridgewood will offer a variety of services for worship and celebration during the “holiest week of the Christian calendar.”

Some of the services are geared toward children and youth, including the JOY! service every Sunday for infants and up, and intergenerational services for Good Friday and the Great Vigil of Easter on Saturday.

The schedule includes:

April 2 – Maundy Thursday

6:30 p.m. supper and 7:30 p.m. Holy Communion
Hosted by Ridgewood United Methodist Church and joined by Mount Bethel Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church

April 3 – Good Friday

Good Friday Liturgy at 7:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m.,

4:00 p.m. (intergenerational)

April 4 – The Great Vigil of Easter

7:00 p.m. (intergenerational) at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Glen Rock

April 5 – Easter Day

Holy Eucharist at 8:00 a.m., 9:15 a.m. JOY!, 10:00 a.m.

Christ Episcopal Church, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of its founding this year, is an open and inclusive community that “embraces all people, wherever they may be on their faith journey,” according to a release.

The church is located at 105 Cottage Place, at the corner of Franklin Avenue, in Ridgewood.
