Shakespeare Coming to Glen Rock
Noted play "The Winter's Tale" will be performed at the library at 6:30 p.m.

"The Winter's Tale" will be hitting a lawn near you on Sunday, July 15. Actors from The Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey – Next Stage Ensemble will be performing an abridged version of this classic tale at the lawn of the Glen Rock Public Library at 6:30 p.m.
According to the library, the story is "a pastoral romance written about an actual incident that occurred in the Bohemian court in the late 14th century. A jealous King and a Queen's death, child abandonment and a lost daughter raised by a shepherd in an enchanted forest set the stage. A young prince finds her and fall in love. There are disguises, the young couple marries, a statue turns into the living Queen and a magical homecoming ensues. The company's dedication to Shakespeare makes this an evening of theatrical excellence."
The performance, thrown by the Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library, is in celebration of its 30th year as a support organization. Tickets for members are $4 and general admission is $5.
