Sidewalks Won't be Placed on Ridgewood's Clinton Avenue

Sidewalks will not be put on Clinton Avenue after the Citizens Safety Advisory Committee agreed with Clinton Avenue residents who said the sidewalks aren’t wanted or needed.

Officials from the Ridgewood Police Department and the Village’s engineer endorsed the placing of sidewalks on a street where many children who attend Ridge Elementary School travel daily, NorthJersey.com reported.

But the Village Council agreed that “taxpayer dollars shouldn’t be spent adding sidewalks to a road that is already among the village’s safest.”
