Skull-and-Bones Flag Flies Over Shuttered Bank
It's not clear who placed the flag above the former Bank of America building on E. Ridgewood Ave.
Updated at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday.
The building that on E. Ridgewood Ave. is the site of a black-and-white skull-and-crossbones flag.
Residents noticed the flag affixed to the 34,000 square foot bank building on Sunday. It remained in flight as of Tuesday afternoon.

It's unclear who hoisted the flag on the pole or to what message the flag bearer intended. Readers sent e-mails to Patch suggesting it could be someone protesting banks.
Attempts to reach the property owner – First States LLC, American Financial – were not succesful.

The large bank building has been for sale since Bank of America closed its doors in early 2010 after suffering record losses.
Police were unaware of any recent activity at the site.
