Sook, Heidi's Welcoming 'Cake Boss' with Open Arms

The competition doesn't mind Buddy Valastro's presence in Ridgewood – if anything, they're embracing it.

Izzy Yanay, whose wife is owner and head baker of Sook Pastry, and Agron Sadikaj, co-owner, of Heidi's Finest German Bakery, told nj.com that Carlo's Bake Shop will bring much needed business to Ridgewood.

Villagers and visitors can now purchase Italian, French and German pastries.

"We will see what the future brings, but I think this is really the first town which serves quality products from all the different countries of Europe," Sadikaj told the website.
