$1,500 Sunglasses Swiped From Car In Glen Rock: Police

A thief took sunglasses worth more than $1,500 from a luxury car parked in one Bergen County town, police said.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A thief took sunglasses worth more than $1,500 from a luxury car parked in one Bergen County town, police said.

A resident of the Hamilton Avenue in Glen Rock told police on April 22 that their BMW was entered while parked in a driveway overnight.

Someone rummaged through it and took prescription sunglasses valued at $1,585, said Glen Rock police.

The person had home video surveillance images showing that one man parked in front of the driveway just before 4 a.m. The man got out and opened the door to the vehicle, rummaging inside.

The Detective Bureau is investigating, police said.

The report was one of 302 calls for service handled by the Glen Rock PD from April 21 through April 27, police said.
