Thursday: Ridgewood Guild House Tour, Valley Hearing
Council voted to table a pay-to-play ordinance Wednesday night

1) The Ridgewood Guild will be presenting the beginning at 10 a.m. Six homes will be shown throughout the village.
2) The Ridgewood Village Council will be Hospital planner Ray Skorupa will be asked questions by the council. Much of his testimony was controversial during the lengthy planning board process.
3) The Ridgewood Village Council tabled a pay-to-play ordinance Wednesday night. Resident Roger Wiegand expressed concern over the ordinance – modeled after existing state law – on the grounds state officials are concerned current law doesn't close critical loopholes. The public hearing will continue at the next meeting. Mayor Keith Killion

4) Operations Director Frank Moritz was appointed the Clean Communities Coordinator by the village council Wednesday night.
5) A resident told the council Wednesday night that he'd like the village to look into purchasing a bike rack at the village-owned Park & Ride. According to the resident, bikes are now locked up to trailers, signs and other structures. He estimated a new, modern bike rack would cost around $6,000. Mayor Keith Killion said the village would look into it, but in the meantime will investigate bringing the old familiar metal racks to the P & R. So if you see the mayor transporting a large metal object from a pickup truck, don't be alarmed.
