Water Main Break And Crashes Close Lanes Of North NJ Highways Tuesday

A water main break near Route 46 and a crash on Route 17 interrupted Tuesday morning's commute.

NORTH JERSEY, NJ — A water main break and two crashes closed lanes of major highways in North Jersey during the Tuesday morning commute, the state said.

According to the state Department of Transportation, around 8:06 a.m., a crash on Route 17 in Ho-Ho-Kus blocked two southbound left lanes near Hollywood Avenue.

A crash on the Garden State Parkway in Saddle Brook, around 6:46 a.m., temporarily closed one right lane near Exit 159/I-80.

Meanwhile, as of 4:34 a.m., a water main break on Route 46 westbound in Totowa, near Route 640/Riverview Drive, had closed all lanes of that highway.
