A 47-year-old pedestrian from Teaneck was hit by a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old Ridgewood woman while crossing at the intersection of N. Monroe and W. Ridgewood Ave. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The "Welcome to Ridgewood" murals at the underpass could be replaced by commercial advertisements as a revenue generator for the village. Making big structural fixes to the walls along with a re-painting would be too costly, Village Manager Ken Gabbert said.
