With Grant, RHS Latin Scholars Are Heading to Nationals
$1,500 grant from CAAS (Classical Association of the Atlantic States) to be used for attendance at Wake Forest University's national competition in July.

These five outstanding Latin students have won gold or silver medals for four successive years in the National Latin Examination and have also competed successfully at the Advanced Level in regional, state and national Certamen (Latin Quiz Bowl) competitions, finishing first in the Northern Region and second in the State. Each student is an officer in the Latin Club and all have been dynamic and effective leaders.

They will use the CAAS grant to offset expenses for their participation in the National Junior Classical League academic competitions to be held from July 25-31 at Wake Forest University. CAAS will be highlighting the achievements of their youngest Latin scholars at its annual meeting in October in New York City.
When informed of her selection, Team Captain Megan Felder stated that she is “incredibly happy especially since attending Nationals has been a dream of my twin sister, Francesca and me for a long time.”

She further stated that she was proud of her teammates and their innumerable accomplishments and is very grateful to CAAS for their support.
