The Oradell Board of Education recognized students and faculty members during their monthly meeting
As part of the monthly public meeting of the Oradell Board of Education, faculty and students were honored for their recent achievements or by giving back to the community.
As part of an annual Thanksgiving Day tradition, the Orlando family visited the Hackensack homeless shelter along with OPS fourth grade teacher Stacey Gordon to give back to the community by serving dinner.
Instructional aide Joan Bayley was recently awarded the Bergen County Education Assocation's Support Staff of the Year Award.

After attending the Sharpe Trip with her fellow classmates, fifth grader Catherine Satterly returned home with a camera full of pictures. To thank the district for the trip, Satterly presented the administration and Board of Education with a Sharpe Journal created around the many photos she tookd.
For the past two decades the Oradell Lions Club has partnered with OPS for the annual Peace Poster Contest. This year Lions Club member Rubin Camins presented art teacher Antonietta Boccanfuso a thank you gift for her dedication to her students and a $100 savings bond to Poster Contest winner Rebecca Perez.

At the end of the school year, OPS will send Board Administrator Rita Cioppi off with a fond farewell after approving her resignation letter to retire. Cioppi's retirement will take effect on June 30, 2012.
