Join St. Mary’s Church, 280 Washington Avenue in Dumont, NJ for Simbang Gabi 2025
This year’s Simbang Gabi will be celebrated on Friday, 12/19. We are introducing some format
changes to the celebrations:
Mass time. The Simbang Gabi Mass will start at 6:30 pm, instead of the usual 7:00 pm.
Nativity Presentation. A new Nativity Presentation, authored by our own Music Director, Luis Chavez, will replace the Nativity re-enactment.
New location. The new presentation will be held at the Upper Church, instead of Szelest Hall. It will immediately follow the conclusion of the Mass.
Format/Adaptation. The Nativity will be entirely scripture-based, with narrations and songs by our St. Mary’s youth.
Participants. Our children will continue to play the roles of Mary, Joseph, Angels, Shepherds and Wise men.
We are excited to introduce and share with you this new Nativity Presentation. Afterwards, Simbang Gabi celebrations will continue at Szelest Hall for the traditional dinner, raffles, Santa’s visit and line dancing.
