With their creation of a skit comedy video for RDTV, students Leah Feingold and Erin Cameron are now in the running for a $5000 grant from MSG Varsity as Finalists in the 2012 MSG Varsity V-Awards.
Now in its third year, the V-Awards, sponsored by MSG Varsity and The New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NY NATAS), celebrate excellence in student-produced television content and inspire creativity among the next generation of broadcast professionals.

“With each passing year, the MSG Varsity V-Awards have proven to be an outlet for creative students to put their television and production skills to the test,” said Jacqueline Gonzalez, Executive Director of the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. “The program continues to raise the bar on where students can take their passion for television production, and we’re excited to honor this year’s finalists.”
The ten V-Award winners will be announced exclusively on MSG Varsity’s V-Awards special that will air on May 31, 12pm and 7:30pm on MSG Varsity, Cablevision’s Optimum TV Channel 14. Each winning high school will receive a $5,000 grant and the winning students receive a trophy. This year, Honorable Mention recognition has been added to each category of the V-Awards. Those recipients will receive a $1,000 grant for their high school.
