
Senior guard Eric Flanagan has been on a streak this past week as he helped lead the struggling Bergen Catholic Crusaders (13-8) to rebound after their Round of 16 loss to on the Jamboree. The 6'2" Flanagan posted 36 points this past week in three game to become RiverDell Patch Athlete of the Week.
The three-year varsity starter was shut down by the Golden Knights defense, only connecting on a lone field goal. But then turned it out a few days later when BC traveled to to take on the 13-5 Comets. Flanagan led all scorers from both teams with 26 points with four shots from outside the arc.
Thursday night, he then helped the Crusaders net their first win of the week connecting on a pair of treys, a field goal and two baskets from behind the foul line for the victory.

In 21-games, Flanagan has been averaging 10.3 points per game, 2.4 assists per game, 4.4 rebounds per game and 1.2 steals per game. Midway through the season he has racked up 221 points - the second highest number of points for the season. Flanagan has surpassed Maurice Grant (217 points for the season) and is quickly closing in on Mark Richards (251 points for the season).
