Get Your Irish On Early at the Library

Irish folk group the Bantry Boys will once again be performing in town

For the past few years just in time for St. Patrick's Day, the helps residents get in the Irish spirit by inviting the Bantry Boys to perform classical folk music.

Created in 1981, the four-man musical group is comprised of Jim and Bill Dwyer, Mike Brady, and Eric Pedrotty provide residents with a rollicking mix of Celtic tunes and tones from the "Streets of London" and "Big Strong Man" to "The Boys of Killybegs."

The traditional Irish folk music concert is always well attended with last year's concert filling the library with patrons. Fun for all ages, this toe-tapping event will have you singing along to your favorite tunes.

The concert is co-sponsored by Friends of the River Edge Library and the River Edge Cultural Center. Refreshments provided by Ancient Order of Hibernians, Bergen County Chapter from the Celtic Kitchen in New Milford.
