Heads Up: Concussion Training Scheduled for March 19
The free training session is required for all volunteer River Edge athletic coaches

New laws have made it mandatory for schools as well as towns to provide their youth coaches and athletes with educational information as well as concussion plans that are to be put in place for the player’s safety.
In response to these new state laws and to the requirements for the use of facilities, the River Edge Recreation Commission has established a Concussion and other Head Injury Policy which requires all volunteer coaches to be trained in the prevention and treatment of sports-related concussions and other head injuries among student athletes.
The Recreation Commission will host a Concussion and other Head Injury Prevention Clinic on Monday, March 19th at 7:30pm in the River Dell Middle School Auditorium.
