IRS Owes River Edge/Oradell Residents Money
Find out if you're on the list of residents with unclaimed refund checks.

The Internal Revenue Service is looking for nearly 3,200 New Jersey residents who can claim their share of undelivered tax refund checks, the agency said Wednesday.
In River Edge/Oradell, 3 residents have checks waiting, the IRS said. Bergen County residents are owed more than $600,000 with the average refund totaling $2,000. The taxpayers missed out on their refund because the checks were deemed undeliverable by the .
"We want to make sure taxpayers get the money owed to them," said IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman in a statement. "If you think you are missing a refund, the sooner you update your address information, the quicker you can get your money."

If you're on the list, you can call 800-829-1954 or use the Where's My Refund tool online. The tool lets taxpayers check the status of their refunds after submitting their Social Security number, filing status and amount of refund shown on their 2009 return. The tool will provide the status of their refund and, in some cases, instructions on how to resolve delivery problems.
