Kids Jump Rope, Shoot Hoops for Good Heart Health
With $6,000 raised, St. Joseph School gym teacher Matt Vassallo will sport a pink mohawk
Setting a modest goal of $3,000 in the first ever Jump Rope and Hoops for Hearts fundsraiser at , students exceeded that amount with the promise that gym teacher Matt Vassallo would come to school with a pink mohawk.
Students in the lower grades, from one through four, took part in various jump rope exercises, while the older grades practiced their basketball skills for over a week. Overall students raised $6,531 for the American Heart Association.
