Man Points Loaded Starter Pistol At Bergen Co. Driver: Police
Rezart Bajarm, 39, was arrested on weapons-related charges and is being held at the Hackensack Police Department.
RIVER EDGE, NJ — A man pointed a loaded starter pistol at a driver early Tuesday morning in Rochelle Park, Hackensack Police said.
Rezart Bajarm, 39, of Moonachie was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, said Capt. Peter Busciglio.
The arrest stems from an incident in Rochelle Park. Hackensack police received information from River Edge police officers that a man pointed a handgun into another vehicle, he said.

Hackensack officers were given a description of the vehicle the man was driving and patrolled the River Edge-Hackensack border, Busciglio said. Officers stopped the blue 2006 Volkswagen Jetta Bajarm was driving at the border.
Police asked Bajarm if he had weapons in the car, and he said he had a BB gun, Busciglio said. Police found a loaded black 9 mm starter pistol underneath the back driver's side seat, he said.

Bajarm was arrested, charged, and is being held at the Hackensack Police Department. He will be transferred to the Bergen County Jail, Busciglio said.
The River Edge Police Department later found the victim.
