Before a packed crowd of residents and fellow firefighters, the watched the 2012 line officers be sworn in by Mayor Joseph Murray. Taking over as Chief will be William Van Riper who steps in for Derek Kahill. Kahill has been Chief for the past few years while also wearing many hats as a patrolman with the and as <a href="http://www.oradelloem.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Office of Emergency Management</a> Coordinator. Stepping in as Assistant Chief is Dan Nywening followed by Captain Capicchioni.
