Police: Juveniles In Oradell Strike During Halloween Weekend
Officers respond to 21 reports of criminal mischief

Even with a 9 pm curfew in place during Halloween weekend, the were kept busy with several criminal mischief complaints by residents. Beginning on Oct. 30 at 8:52pm through Oct. 31, 6:57pm, Officers Victor Egg, Roger Pressburger, Sgt. Kevin Doyle, Richard Liguori, David Gangemi, and Marc Fedorchak, were on call to respond to the various reports.
Among the criminal mischief complaints were eggs being thrown at houses and vehicles, pumpkins smashed, shaving cream being sprayed on a porch, house and a vehicle, throwing toilet paper at houses and trees, and houses and a vehicle being struck by green paint balls. Several residents also reported that swastika's were sprayed on their property with shaving cream.

- Theft
A resident of Grant Avenue reported that he believed he is a victim of theft after discovering that cash, jewelry and documents were missing. According to a police report, the resident stated that he keeps the items in a safe in the residence. He had previously removed the items for a family member to review them, but had not returned them to the safe. The matter is currently under investigation.
- Criminal Mischief
Two vehicles, while parked at were damaged during the early morning school hours. An image of a penis was found scraped onto one vehicle's hood, measuring approximately five inches. The other vehicle was scratched along the driver's side toward the rear of the vehicle. Both incidents are under investigation.
