Registration Begins for Winter Story Time
Parents can begin signing up their children for events at the River Edge Library

Registration for the Winter Storytime Schedule began today, Monday, January 9th. Story times begin the week of January 16th and run through the week of February 27th. River Edge cardholders are given preference for all programs. Signup is required in person at the Children's Desk or by phone at 201 261-1663 ext. 3.
Lap Lizards meet on Mondays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Babies up to 23
months old and a parent or caregiver will join Librarian Susan Mengers for fifteen
minutes of stories, rhymes, and fingerplays followed by an informal playgroup.
Storytime dates: Jan. 16, 23, 30 and Feb. 6, 13, 27.
Tiger Twos meet on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Twenty minutes of stories, songs, and fingerplays will be followed by an informal playgroup for two-year-olds and a parent or caregiver. Storytime dates: Jan. 17, 24, 31 and Feb. 7, 14, 28.

Fireflies meet at either a morning or afternoon session on Thursdays from 10:30 to 11 am or 1:30 to 2 pm. Three and four-year-olds on their own are welcome to share stories, fingerplays, flannelboards, and a filmstrip. Storytime dates: Jan. 19, 26; Feb. 2, 9, 16 and Mar. 1.
Kiss a Frog meets on Tuesdays from 3:45 to 4:30 pm. Children age five, or
enrolled in kindergarten, will enjoy fairytales and a craft with teacher/storyteller Madeline Maresca. Storytime dates: Jan. 17, 24, 31 and Feb. 7, 14, 28.

Turtles and Crocodiles will meet on Thursdays from 3:45 to 4:45 pm. Children in first, second, and third grades will meet for a special story and craft featuring Franklin the turtle and Lyle the crocodile (with teacher/storyteller Madeline Maresca). Attendance at both programs is required and registration is limited. Storytime dates: Jan. 26 (turtle) and Feb. 16 (crocodile). Registration begins Jan. 9th for both programs.
