River Dell Students Take Over MSG Varsity

All this week on MSG Varsity, viewers will be able to catch students Tori Schettino and Jack Dunlop as they host High School Life. But Schettino and Dunlop won't be the only River Dell students on the show as this week's episode features Ashley Herrick and Tori Hughes video production entitled, Italian Exchange.

During the episode, which first airs this week on Wednesday, February 29 at 2:30pm, Herrick and Hughes video documented their venture abroad to Italy, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that turned out to be an amazing educational experience. 

“When I see River Dell students creating original pieces that are of such a high quality that they can be aired on a television show, I feel proud, and grateful for the opportunity to give them an authentic experience,” said River Dell Principal Lorraine Brooks. “In high school, typically, assessments are only seen by the teacher; when students’ work is aired to the public at large, there is a real audience which makes all the difference in the world. Without MSG Varsity this could not happen.”

High School Life is a brand-new student-produced monthly show, that presents student created videos and features ranging from academics to art to events.

Additional airings will be held on Thursday March 1, 3:30pm; Friday March 2, 1pm; Saturday March 3, 12:30 and 6:30pm; Monday March 5, 1pm and Tuesday March 6, 3:30pm.
