River Edge School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in River Edge is September 7. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The River Edge School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/7: Full-Day/Professional Day
• 11/9-10: NJEA Convention
• 11/20-21: Parent Conferences – All Schools
• 11/22: Day Before Holiday – All Schools
• 11/23-24: Thanksgiving Recess - No School

December

• 12/22: Day Before Holiday - All Schools
• 12/25-29: Holiday Recess - No School

January

• 1/1: New Year's Day - No School
• 1/15: Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No School

February

• 2/19-20: Presidents Recess - No School

March

• 3/6 & 3/8: Parent Conferences-All Schools
• 3/13: Professional PM – All Schools
• 3/20: Good Friday - No School

April

• 4/2-6: Spring Recess - No School

May

• 5/28: Memorial Day - No School

June

• 6/25: Last Day For Students/Teachers
