Screening of 'Girl Rising,' Sports Awards and More, Lead the Week
Check out what's going on this week in River Edge and Oradell.

Girl Scout Troop 995 will be hosting a screening of the documentary, 'Girl Rising' that is at the heart of the campaign to educate girls and change the world.
The film follows the stories of nine young women from nine countries, written by nine writers and narrarated by nine actors. The film is based on the principle that telling stories about individual human beings and their particular circumstances is the most meaningful way and effective way to create understanding.
The film raises awareness to the fact that more than 77 million girls across the world are denied an education. In some cases, gender can be the single factor that launches a child into a life of unimaginable poverty, slavery, child marriage, prostitution and abuse.
